First Breakfast


First Breakfast was a traditional Irish soda bread Farl served with jams and butter. Coffee and English Breakfast tea were to drink. To make the Farl, we used the recipe from Peters-Mums-Soda-Bread-Recipe.
Unfortunately, our baking soda wasn't the freshest and produced less leavening than we'd like. However, the flavor was warm and toasty. Marmalade and homemade raspberry jam sweetened the breakfast perfectly.
